Meet the FoQaCiA partners: INL
INL coordinates the activities of the 7 partners from the European side of the collaboration. Ernesto Galvão and Rui Soares Barbosa are the FoQaCiA PIs at INL. Ernesto is the project coordinator, and Rui is the coordinator of FoQaCiA’s workpackage WP1, on nonclassicality and quantum advantage. We’d like to highlight some recent contributions made by INL jointly with other project partners: https://arxiv.org/abs/2308.06336 (Bilkent/INL)

The INL team counts also with 5 PhD students and two FoQaCiA-funded postdocs, Som Kanjilal and Lorenzo Catani.
INL has also published an open source software package and associated paper on a way of giving limited quantum computers access to both entanglement and non-stabilizerness, two known resources that are required for quantum computational advantage. About FoQaCiA
The FoQaCiA project aims to advance the understanding of the fundamental principles and methodologies that underpin the development of quantum algorithms. This includes exploring new algorithmic frameworks, optimizing existing quantum processes, and identifying innovative approaches to leverage quantum computing's unique capabilities. The project involves 11 partners from Canada and the EU, and is funded by NSERC, the European Commission, and UKRI. The project started in October 2022, and has already resulted in 7 open software packages and 51 preprints and papers, among other outputs.
